Miriam Elia is a comedian, who has worked and studied in Design/illustration for some years. She completed a two year MA at The Royal College of Art in Visual communications and finished in 2006.

Since then she has lead a double life, as a freelance graphic designer and writer working for a variety of well known agency’s and magazines, and as a stand-up comic and BBC comedy script writer.

She is currently working on ‘A Series of Psychotic Episodes’, a 6 part comedy sketch series for BBC7, set to be recorded in July. In addition, she is developing a four part series for BBC Radio 4 with The Comedy Unit, based on her website ‘The New Normals.’

In the future, Miriam will be running and performing a show called ‘GCSE Revision Classes’ at Edinburgh 2008 with fellow comic Caroline Maybe.
